The Echo Smartpen is an input utensil capable of handwriting capture and simultaneous audio recording. As such, the device is suitable for recording lectures while simultaneously saving notes entered by the user in the correct position. Subsequently, the user can return to a certain note, tap on it, and replay the audio recording from the exact time of writing that note. Additional features are a text recognition function with which handwritten notes can be converted into digital text, and audio translation into 26 languages. The pen is ergonomically designed, and the various function zones are differentiated by surfaces with distinctive finishes. The grip area has a rubber surface enabling the device to be comfortably held in the hand. The function zone with display, microphone and speaker, on the other hand, has a glossy surface, giving the pen a contemporary look.
