The Bimedico disposable splint has been designed for short-term immobilisation of the cervical spine and also the upper and lower extremities. The movable parts and specific openings make it possible to fixate the extremities, without putting too much strain on them. Informative graphics make the splint easy to assemble, even in stressful situations. It is made mostly of recyclable corrugated cardboard and is thus particularly environmentally friendly and inexpensive. This splint does away with the necessity of sharing reusable splints among ambulance staff and hospital personnel. Moreover, complex cleaning and sterilisation processes become obsolete.
