The Planmeca ProMax 3D ProFace is a digital cone beam computed tomography unit (CBCT), which also features a 3D photo system. Therefore, in addition to the normal 3D X-ray image, this device generates a realistic 3D photo of the face in a single scan. Furthermore, the system is characterised by dynamic and easy-to-clean surfaces. An essential aspect is the high level of user comfort provided: the side entry allows easy access, while the open construction enables the patient to maintain direct eye contact with the operator during the entire imaging process.
