The shell of the Fl@t chair is manufactured with a flat, flexible, padded leather or woven fabric sheet, held in place with dedicated small black buttons. The seat appears to be floating on a black coated aluminium arc mounted on a support made of the same material. The construction method and choice of materials make the chair appear light while also ensuring that it is comfortable to sit in. It can be flat-packed for transport which reduces the volume and therefore the energy consumption.
