This barrier-free modular sofa has been designed for public areas in hospitals, elderly homes and schools. The sofa allows individuals in a wheelchair to sit in the centre of an otherwise inaccessible piece of furniture. Another function of the sofa is that two people can sit opposite and look each other in the eyes while talking. The open frame construction invites people to touch and hold on to it.
