Extraction hoods mounted above stoves serve the purpose of absorbing steam and odours generated during cooking and roasting in order to prevent them from spreading in the kitchen and beyond. The increasingly popular downdraft filter mechanism in turn follows the principle of sucking in vapours directly from the pots and pans. Alongside allowing odours to be absorbed right at the source, this mechanism also prevents heat loss. Although regular pots and pans can be used with downward filtering hobs BergHOFF has developed a series of novel pots and pans that ideally suit this system and its functionality. Based on patented technology and featuring an elegant appeal, this series of pots and pans guarantees an optimal steam extraction for energy-efficient cooking. This is ensured by a design that is astounding in terms of logic in that the pots have an opening at the edge of the top rim that makes vapours escape downwards through air ducts integrated in the glass lids. In a highly efficient and energy-saving approach, vapours are thus absorbed directly by the extraction system on the cooking surface. Since the pots can also be closed off by rotating the glass lid 180 degrees, the cookware made of high-quality stainless steel is very easy to use. The pots and pans showcase well-balanced proportions and feature stay-cool handles that prevent burns while cooking.
