x + os – the name describes the shape of the innovative sole used in this footwear collection. To minimise weight, the contact surface was reduced to a small wedge in the middle, while the cross under the heel provides lateral stability. In the front section, two ovals support the balls of the feet and the toes. The leather upper section is sewn to the sole, doing away with solvent-based glues and making replacement and recycling easy. Instead of using extra form-giving materials, the seams themselves provide shape. This simplified production process also makes it possible to manufacture the collection in Germany at competitive prices.
