The concept behind the design was to create a form pure in structure. With the introduction of the so called “space-frame” type design, we were able to significantly reduce the amount of material needed to realize the shell without compromising either strength or stability. For the first time in history, a ground breaking “special structure”, in this particular case a double layer grid, can now be produced as a one-part injection piece without the need for the fiberglass reinforcements of the PP used. The Moiré chair is, of course, durable, recyclable, stackable and is available with armrests if required.
