“Walking together” – a touring exhibition on the theme of hospice work. Dying as a natural part of life is put in the public focus. Dying people and their companions gain center stage. Because of this, the exhibition has to be built up flexibly in different locations. The concept appeals to the visitor as it regards content as well as an emotional way. Places of death (hospitals, nursing homes etc.) are the starting point for informative and personal stories, shown on stilts as pictures, texts and audio elements. Life-sized figures in between wall panels symbolize the companions, they appeal on an emotional level and make dying human.
