The “Tubeless-Ready” carbon hoops are 33 mm deep, and use Novatec's proprietary “Bead lock” technology and “Matrisilk” structural reinforcement to hold true their 23 mm internal-width rim. During our testing we bashed these things into sharp rocks regularly, and have yet to discover any signs of weakness. Rim stiffness is better than most other wheels on the market and we felt confident laying our test bike over, knowing the wheels would roll where we pointed them.
