Packaging for Shimano’s high-end MTB components. The graphic design adapts design elements of the X and characters of XTR components covering both cross-country and trail bike categories. The sleeve is made from glossy paper that reflects the materiality of the components. When removing it from the package, a black box with an embossed surface like the skin of a powerful animal appears. The graphic design of both the sleeve and the box expresses the product concept like “powerful yet sophisticated lithe motion”. To avoid damage during transportation the components are tightly fixed within the box to be protected even against strong impacts.
