The technique of bamboo splitting served as a design inspiration for the SPLIT table legs. By transferring this ancient art to another material such as an iron pipe, it was possible to manufacture a table leg from a single piece of pipe. The section reveals the color accents inside of the pipe. The table leg stands there on the tip of its toes like a shy deer, ready to run away. The product is objective and at the same time playful. It appears both elegant and vulnerable.
