Consistent with the principle of omission and reduction characteristic of Achim Riethmann's oeuvre, the reproductions of his watercolors and installations contained in "ASR 09 / 16" appear both framed by and levitating above the book's clean white pages, while all additional information, set in unobtrusive Futura, is concentrated on the last pages, which are made from uncoated paper purposefully also used for the black-and-white photos of the artist's more experimental three-dimensional objects.
