The designers adopted traditional film editing as the theme of this cinema. In the lobby, lightboxes made of metal mesh are hung from the ceiling. As light penetrates holes of 4 different sizes and shapes, the interplay between light and shadow enriches the lighting effect in the lobby. Some lightboxes are painted with a single Chinese character to abstractly indicate functions of the area, while imitating images on film rolls. The designers adopted dim and warm lighting, which creates a nostalgic atmosphere. The theme color of the cinema is orange, imitating the color of rust on the metal mesh light boxes, and also representing the passage of time.
