The Tube Head Unit (THU) for Digital X-ray is designed to be more ergonomic and intuitive, based on in-depth analysis of radiologists’ operation-behavior. The design allows radiologists to easily control the THU with just one hand and a thumb, thus reducing musculoskeletal stress. The user interface remains consistent whether it is in landscape or portrait mode, which can reduce confusion caused by repeated layout changes. The touch-based UI design provides widgets that can be customized to user’s convenience. The user can view the images and manage patients’ radiation at the same time.
