The k-haler® device has been designed with the entire patient and clinician experience in mind, from the inhaler design to the packaging, the patient information leaflet and online training tools. The smart packaging has been collaboratively designed with asthma patients and healthcare professionals. The ‘book like’ carton encourages users to pause as critical information is revealed in a specific and logical order. This physical format and accompanying instructional graphics have been tested across key European markets and shown to significantly improve correct device usage.
