Mu-bus is a small-bus service which Musashino City and two private bus companies have signed an agreement to operate for general passenger use, with the aim of eliminating bus transportation gaps and inconvenient areas, and enabling all people including the elderly and those with small children to get around town easily and safely. The first route was launched in 1995, and currently operates nine routes, starting and ending at three stations in the city.
