The Takatamatsubara Tsunami Memorial Park is a National Memorial for the Great East Japan Earthquake of 11 March 2011. This park includes disaster ruins, a building (a road station and a museum) that serves as an entrance, and on the axis to the sea, a ceremony plaza, and a place for offering flowers. This park is for praying for the lives lost and for passing on the memories of the earthquake.
