This air purifier has an electrochemical photocatalyst unit coated with mesoporous structured titanium dioxide materials. It uses 460nm wavelength visible light to generate hydroxyl radical that ultimately breaks down VOCs, viruses and bacteria by destroying the molecular bonds – effectively cleaning the air without producing any harmful byproducts. Unlike existing air purifiers, ‘puripot’ air sterilizers have a clean-up method that ultimately destroys harmful substances. Therefore, there is no need to replace filters, so low maintenance costs and no trash.
