The design of the Xiaoguan combines the appearance of a traditional writing brush with that of a modern writing implement. The tip of the brush is made of polyester instead of animal hair. This has the advantage that the material can be produced reliably to the same standard and in large volumes. Inside the slim body, there is an ink reservoir which, like the tip, can conveniently be changed as required. The writing brush comes with an octagonal cap that prevents it from accidentally rolling away.
