In large-scale live video productions, speed is of the essence when it comes to switching between different video sources and designing transitions quickly and professionally. Such tasks can be performed using complex graphical user interfaces; however, in demanding live production scenarios, they can be solved far more efficiently with a dedicated physical control panel. The ATEM 4 M/E Advanced Panel has been designed specifically for the live production of sporting events, concerts and TV broadcasts. This massive control panel allows all mix/effect (M/E) levels to be controlled simultaneously. The controls are arranged following the industry-standard M/E style, enabling users to quickly navigate the familiar interface and concentrate fully on the video images. The panel features four M/E rows with 40 video input buttons per row, as well as four separate system control LCDs. The high-quality designed switches offer a pleasant tactile feedback as well as customisable colour backlighting. A total of 32 LCDs can be individually labelled for each button in each row, giving users an excellent overview as well as quick and easy access to a variety of functions at any time. The dials and faders have also been designed with perfect ergonomics in mind for further enhanced control.
