The Phoenix L500i leak detector finds leaks in industrial products using helium as a test gas. It is operated wirelessly via an iPad. Large edge radii make the device easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces and reduce visible welding edges. The resulting joint edges integrate the lockable drawer, in which the iPad can be stored safely. The handle is located within the contour of the leak detector, thus also providing good manoeuvrability. Self-explanatory control elements were chosen and positioned based on ergonomic considerations.
