In an avalanche accident the rescue equipment must be ready for use in the shortest possible time, intuitively and without lengthy explanations. The “Raptor” avalanche shovel has been designed for use in such extreme situations. A simple pull on the handle releases the “sliding tubes” and locks them panic safely into position. The blade of the shovel has an integral handle which prevents unintended tilting and brings the lifting hand closer to the centre of gravity. The “sliding tubes” pass through the blade of the shovel to give “Raptor” a more compact package volume and, in conjunction with its arresting graphics, a professional character.
