Sunglasses from Porsche Design are generally characterised by high functional utility, meaningful functions and a high design quality. The titanium sunglass model P'8404 satisfies these demands to a very high degree: the use of titanium materials ensures a low weight, exceptional corrosion resistance and absolute freedom from nickel allergies. The special spring properties of the components for the innovative lens mounting are achieved by the use of selected beta titanium alloys. The lenses are fixed using an innovative principle in which a resilient section – open at one side – encloses the outer contour of the lenses: countersunk plastic rivets secure the lenses at the rear side. The high arch of the front ensures that the spectacles are positioned close to the face and so provides the best possible sun and wind protection. Lenses made of polycarbonate guarantee extremely high breakage resistance.
