This design repurposes an old factory into a sales center. The leitmotif is planting a tree that will grow into a forest on the mountain. The design uses an environmental vocabulary to merge together indoor and outdoor. A wrapping method integrates the space but without damaging the original structure. Five wooden trees with interlacing limbs frame the interior and create a dynamic forest. The wooden panels mimicking the tree boughs are gently bent as if they are strands of growing silk. The old structure is thus transfigured into an organic space of lush vitality.
