The Dell EMC PowerEdge R740xd2 addresses increasing capacity needs and business demands by providing flexible storage and performance resources in a space-saving design. This new rack server targets storage-centric workloads such as video surveillance, exchange mailboxes, media streaming, and software-defined storage. The 2U server packages 26 large format hot-swap drives. The enclosure consists of two front stacked drive trays each containing 12 drives, and two rear accessible drives. To access the front inner tray, simply flip down the locking levers on each side pull it forward. All drives can be serviced while the system is running.
