Liuzhou, China is located on the banks of the winding Liu River. This clear and green river is one of the main navigable rivers running through Liuzhou and is famous for its looping shape. While the Liu River connects the city's residents, there is also an effort to protect a piece of pure land in the south and so that people can harmoniously coexist with nature. The long and winding shape of the Liu River was taken as the key design theme for this space, also because it resembles rolls of film, a key symbol of movie-making. And like the river, films are also a connector, a medium that brings people together regardless of any borders.
