The owner grew up in this neighborhood in Taiwan and has a group of friends who all like photography and dining together. They needed a place they could regularly meet for dinner. The owner found a detached old house in the vicinity that showed the wear and tear of 40 years of use. The designers decided to preserve the tranquil beauty of this older building. Traces of the edifice's history were mostly preserved, everything from the architectural appearance to the interior. The design integrated old structural elements with the new, such as energetic lines and contemporary lighting.
