Tokiji has every standard digital function: time, date, 2nd timezone, alarm, stopwatch, and backlight. The unique aspect of this watch is its display. Most digital watches print a window on the underside of its lens to mask the frame of the liquid crystal display. However, the light passing through is diffused, causing the black of the mask and black of the LCD to look different. This makes the window’s shape stand out in an unattractive way. Tokiji's original construction process allows light to pass straight through, uninhibited. The result is a consistent, deep black across the entire face, accentuating its very vivid digits.
