The architects were tasked with creating an environmental structure that would make an ecological statement. The cafe facade is built of jacinth sintered bricks, fired in a kiln using simple, natural processes. The rust color is earthy and natural, making a strong impact compared to the heavily decorated CBD. What's more, this sintered brick (made of natural clay, argil, shale, and minerals) can be crushed and recycled to make new bricks, even after hundreds of years of service life.
