The design task here was to create a variety of characters and also a reference to the egg yolk. The results are interesting, vivid, even dramatic. The four characters depict a giant panda, a monkey, a dragon and a lion. They wear intense expressions inspired by Chinese opera masks, and each has a big red dot as a nose. Is this the crispy egg yolk confection inside or something else? The image invokes the egg yolk but also leaves room for interpretation so that consumers realize that these are the egg yolk cakes from the Xuan Ma brand.
