The Oribe Design Center in Gifu Prefecture produced the project, the project team enlisted the services of Motomi Kawakami (Visiting Professor) and Kawashima Kogyo K.K., and their highly competitive product development of the utensils envisioned by Kawashima Kogyo resulted in creation of the MOKA series of kitchen knives. The development effort was directed toward implements for enjoyable use in the lifestyles of today, and kitchen knives that contributed to production of a high-quality kitchen setting. Prices were set in the reasonable range and the highly finished design by Motomi Kawakami place this as a product of the highest grade.
