A paper container manufacturer with a hundred-year history made good use of its processing technology to develop this paper dust box. High technique has been applied in every detail to create a sturdy paper dust box that is not for throwaway use. The entire box is made from two sheets of paperboard joined together and given a curl like that used on ice cream cups. This fabrication method retains the highly distinctive feel of the paper material while keeping the object both lightweight, at just 233 grams, and highly durable (vertical load capacity of 252 kgf). The Japanese people have a long, continuous history of using paper, and this product makes maximum use of the possibilities of this material in a dust box that itself will not have to be discarded as waste, since it can be recycled.
