DaVinci Resolve is a precision hardware control surface and integrated software solution used for motion picture colour grading. It allows for realistic colour correction in real time through a suite of hardware controls. The controls are ergonomically arranged so that the user’s hands remain in a natural position, allowing for simultaneous adjustment of values such as lift, gamma and gain. Each function has its own controller which allows the user to intuitively edit each part of the image. As a result of this logical arrangement, focus is always on the screen and all corrections can be made while viewing the final imagery on the colour grading monitor. These processes are supported by the clear on-screen software interface, ensuring better visual feedback.
