The pendant lamp Airabesc goes with the flow. Inspired by the OLED (organic light emitting diode), it focuses on the topic of organics. The elements of its reduced, symmetrical form are suspended in the air as if sculpted by the wind. Depending on the viewing angle, the biomorphic arrangement generates optical tension which encourages closer scrutiny. The delicate shape, designed by Dietmar Fissl, is made possible by the use of organic light emitting diodes in addition to standard LEDs. OLEDs also mean that objects illuminated by the Airabesc have a naturally flowing appearance, as the new technology creates natural-looking colours and soft light reflections. This ensures optical harmony throughout the room and everything appears to go with the flow.
