A distinctive form language accounts for the charm of this multifunctional coffee machine. Its visual expressiveness is mainly characterised by its curved silhouette: thus, the body of the appliance forms a striking oval, which harmoniously arches around the coffee cup. Fontana was developed as a multi-beverage machine to be used with the manufacturer-specific Dolce Gusto capsules. The stringent form is supposed to make the high functionality of the appliance clear and to symbolise the preparation of a beverage. Accordingly, the transparent water tank on the back of the device delivers an insight. There, the fresh water is stored and conducted through the upper oval to the brewing head, where the water is passed through the capsule with high pressure. A simple intuitive control allows the preparation of many different drinks. Depending on the desired beverage and the differently sized cups, the cup tray can be height-adjusted as required.
