A formal reduction to essential control and functional elements guarantees that the user’s complete attention is focused on the surgery and the patient when using this surgical microscope for eye surgery. Thanks to its compact construction and a ceiling mount system, the microscope requires almost no space – either during surgery or in its stowed position. Contours that might distract or hinder surgeons have been eliminated thanks to the innovative shaping of the microscope, its mount and the lighting system. This has been achieved by the complete integration of all cables and fibre-optic light guides within the housing and articulated joints.
