Its innovation is the automatic belay principle, using powerful rare earth magnets to induce the physical phenomena of Eddy Current Braking to create a no-contact, no-wear braking mechanism. Smart configuration of the internal spooling drum and brake give the mechanised retraction of the climbing rope a human belaying feel.
