Compared with acoustic drums, today’s conventional electronic drum sets may feature a softer sound and volume control, yet the irritating noise made when the drum pads are hit remains. This problem was solved by means of the innovative “Textured Cellular Silicone Head”, whereby small air bubbles are embedded below the drumhead to serve as a kind of cushion. The resulting playing feel is nearly authentic and was fine-tuned with the help of professional drummers.
