Walking with conventional crutches requires great physical effort since a so-called “mountain of strength” must be overcome. The Ganymed walking aid, however, avoids such effort expenditure with its S form, thereby facilitating quadrupedal posture and keeping the point of ground contact in view. Moreover, with a hardy bionic construction using the newest of materials, the walking aid is ultralight yet still able to withstand high amounts of stress.
