This single-lever basin mixer was designed to look as if it had been sculpted from a single block of metal. The handle is easy to use as the complete top surface is slightly rounded from base to tip. To obtain warm water at room temperature and thereby save energy, the handles of conventional, single-lever mixers need to be pushed away from the user. With CUBIA, the handle is pulled towards the user – an easier movement, which avoids the unintentional consumption of warm water. This can reduce energy use by about 30 per cent.
