Outwardly, the BMW i8 displays all the characteristics of a sports car, yet the engine bay features an environmentally friendly plug-in hybrid system. Thanks to an aerodynamic design, the car has a flat, wedge-shaped silhouette. Tightly drawn surfaces and precise edges enhance the airflow. Doors and the so-called black belt – a black design element running from the front over the roof to the rear – make the appearance complete. The interior is distinguished by use of light, sustainably produced materials and components made of renewable raw materials.
