The Chromebook features a modern, playful appearance, with the smoothly designed chassis showing a sparkle surface with fresh, appealing colours. During manufacture and processing of the materials, emphasis was placed on efficiency: instead of using two parts to create the notebook’s basepan and sideband, the designers combined them into a single part to reduce the number of components and ensure a sturdier frame. The outer housing consists of a coloured resin coated with a unique sparkle satin finish.
