The S200 Calgary is a modern high-floor urban tram, the front end design of which is inspired by the goalie mask of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, symbolising safety and protection. The large windscreen wraps around the A-pillars and provides good visibility. The impression of a visor is created, partly due to the dynamic shape of the surface. This theme is emphasised by a red line running around the entire vehicle. The concave surface of the roof panels which diminishes towards the front is similarly emphasised in red. The intelligent lighting concept assures high visibility.
