The design concept of Ossidiana follows the objective of combining sculptural aesthetics with the functionality of an espresso coffee maker. The asymmetric contours look as if carved while individually accentuated surfaces quote the appearance of a sculptured stone. Nevertheless, Ossidiana conveys the emotional familiarity of an everyday object. The handle made of thermoplastic resin rests ergonomically well in the hand, providing a secure grip when handling the pot.
