The Maldi Biotyper Pilot assists in the preparation of samples in microbiology laboratories. The mini-projector displays cross hairs on the sample carrier and therefore indicates the exact position where the sample is to be placed. The device is operated without a keyboard, as the assignment of the sample to the sample carrier is solely carried out through barcode scanning. The cross hairs automatically jump to the next free position.
