This duodenoscopy system helps to prevent infection during endoscopy of the duodenum and treatment of the bile ducts. Common duodenoscopes have an elevator mechanism that is fixed to the endoscope. HyDOME includes a single-use module, which makes cleaning and disinfection of the elevator mechanism obsolete. For every patient, the endosco­pist mounts a new and hygienically safe module to the endoscope.
