This system for negative pressure wound therapy promotes the healing of acute and chronic wounds. Compared to common systems, it is so lightweight and small that it fits into the patient’s pocket, thus providing a simple way to continue therapy on the go. The colour-coded light band, an acoustic signal and the tactile push-button on the device indicate whether sufficient negative pressure is being exerted. The grid pattern applied on the wound dressing disappears when the wound fluid has been fully absorbed.
