This digital mammography system is used for breast imaging without tissue overlap. In contrast to conventional two-dimensional mammography, the system generates three-dimensional images of the breast by moving the X-ray tube around the patient during the examination and acquiring multiple projections. This allows tumours to be clearly depicted and precisely localised. The smooth appearance of the system, in combination with the gentle contours, conveys a restrained impression, which helps to reduce anxiety in the patient.
