Yachts sliding majestically over the water represent a high degree of understatement. They imply the lightness of being and the relaxation of living at the sea. The design of the Fusion folding chair is inspired by this kind of symbolism, embodying a convincingly designed piece of garden furniture with an elegant and flowing language of form. The Danish architect designed this chair for use in coastal areas and on yachts – important design aspects were the durability of both the form and the materials of this chair. The frame of the Fusion chair is made of electro-polished, brushed stainless steel, combined with tailored slings made of Textilene, a highly durable material that ensures optimum resistance to outdoor environments, including those as harsh as on the open seas. High attention to detail is visible in the consistently designed smooth, seamless transition between the steel frame and the sling, complemented by matching coloured armrests. The functionality of this folding chair for outdoor use is also highly sophisticated. The Fusion chair is very light and can be easily folded with a slight movement in order to save space when stowed away – a feature that also makes it a good choice for use on balconies.
